Take a calm moment for yourself and color a mandala or learn to draw your own!
May is Mental Health Month, and art can be a meditative practice of self care. Mandalas are an ancient art practice originating in India and their geometric patterns are used to represent connection of the inner self to the universe.
Teens can join us in the Loft to learn how to create mandalas by drawing repeated patterns using radial symmetry, or color mandalas of their choice. Come listen to calming music and take a moment to unplug and destress.
No experience is needed, and all materials will be provided. Email Jenna at jjones@nlrlibrary.org for more information.
