Wood & Metal Shop

Women’s Intro Workshop: Take this workshop to build your confidence in the woodshop with this hands-on woodworking class designed for beginners ready to explore different styles of saws.

Have you ever wanted to learn your way around a woodshop, but felt unsure where to start, or who to ask? You’re not alone. This beginner-friendly workshop is just for women and is led by women, offering a supportive, judgment-free environment to build your skills and your confidence.

In this hands-on class, you'll get familiar with the woodshop and learn to safely operate key tools like the table saw, miter saw, and band saw. We’ll walk you through setup, safety, and technique—no pressure, no assumptions, and no experience necessary.

Whether you’re brand new to woodworking or just looking to feel more at ease in the shop, this class is the perfect starting point. It’s all about making space for women to explore, create, and feel empowered using tools that may have once felt out of reach.

This class requires pre-registration.

Cost $50.00

In this hands-on class, you'll learn:

  • The differences between a table saw, miter saw, and band saw.
  • How to choose the right tool for the job.
  • How to properly set up each piece of equipment.
