Join your friends at the Argenta Library for a casual discussion of the Yiddish classic in translation, Tevye the Dairyman by Sholem Aleichem. Help us to enrich our conversation by lending your insight and perspective on this timeless masterpiece centered around a pious, poor, and humorous Jewish milkman in Tsarist Russia.

The Yiddish Book Center’s Public Libraries Program brings Yiddish literature in translation to public libraries across the United States to deepen their engagement with Yiddish literature and Jewish life, religion, and culture, and to foster vibrant cross-cultural dialogue and discussion in their communities.

This program is best for adults & teens, with no expected skill level or familiarity with the Yiddish language!
