Arkansas Pastel Society 10th National Exhibition
Every other year, the Arkansas Pastel Society presents a National Exhibition of outstanding works from around the country. This year’s show was juried by Tom Christopher, a nationally known pastel artist from Iowa. 38 paintings were selected for exhibition.
The purpose of the Arkansas Pastel Society is to provide a forum through which the following objectives can be realized: to educate the general public about pastel painting, to provide networking opportunities for artists involved with pastels, to conduct shows and exhibits of pastel works, and to arrange for workshops on the use of pastels. APS supports artists who work in either soft or oil pastels. The organization is a non-profit, educational art association. In February 2024, APS will celebrate the 20th anniversary of its founding.
